I have worked in over 40 countries on 5 continents as a performer, choreographer, director, and producer.

I have collaborated on various dance & theater projects with Paul Langland, Lars Øyno, Alexandra Beller, Moisés Kaufman, Maureen Fleming, David Gordon, Sin Cha Hong, Stephen Petronio, among others. I performed in Love Alone Anthology Project (2025) at La MaMa, choreographed & directed by Keith A. Thompson and presented by danceTactics, inspired by the writings of AIDS activist Paul Monette; performed in and co-produced Brain to Brain (2019), the final work created by Mary Overlie, my mentor since 1993; performed (in Norwegian) in the Ibsen Award-winning production of Svanhild in Norway, Russia, and Japan (2015-17); and had a number of my choreographies presented by the Danspace Project (New York) between 1995-2008.

I was the Manager of the Cummins Theatre in Australia (2012-14), served as a Producer & Stage Director for Grusomhetens Teater (2014-17), and was Production Manager for Tulsa Ballet (2019). As a Producer, I have worked in Europe, Japan, and the US on world- and US-premiere productions with danceTactics, Grusomhetens Teater, Kari Hoaas, Nela Kornetová, Pavel Zustiak/Palissimo, Ulf Nilseng, among others.

I have over 30 years international experience as an educator. Some of my long-term appointments include the Yale School of Drama, the New School for Drama, the Actors Studio Drama School, Pace University, Bilkent University (Turkey), Ballettakademien and the University of Dance (Sweden), and The International Theater Academy Norway, where I also served as Dean from 2008-10. Currently, I am on the faculty of the Experimental Theatre Wing at New York University´s Tisch School of the Arts and the Barrow Group in New York City, as well as offer occasional master classes at Terry Knickerbocker Studio. I am a designated instructor of Allan Wayne Work, the Jean Hamilton Floor Barre, and Mary Overlie´s Six Viewpoints.

I have written numerous articles and award-winning pieces related to performance since 1997, some of which have been translated into ​French,​​ Norwegian,​ ​Russian,​ ​and Belarusian. I am currently a staff writer for thINKingDANCE, as well as a freelance contributing writer to Culturebot.

I co-founded Interzone Films with Akira Veintidos; co-founded the Allan Wayne Work Alliance with Paul Langland and Brenna Palughi; and publish fiction under a pseudonym.
